01The short version

PadCoach collects nothing. There are no accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no trackers. Your practice history never leaves your device, because it is never sent anywhere in the first place.

02What is collected

No personal data of any kind. PadCoach does not ask for your name, email address, date of birth, or location, and it does not read your contacts, photos, or files.

03What the app stores, and where

Everything PadCoach remembers is written to local storage on your device only:

• Lesson progress, scores, star ratings, and personal bests
• Your daily practice streak and practice statistics
• Badges you have earned
• Settings: theme, handedness, the timing offset, and which MIDI controller you last used, including its pad calibration
• Whether the Lifetime Unlock has been purchased

There is no cloud sync and no server. Delete the app and all of it is gone from your device with it.

04Permissions

PadCoach requests exactly one system permission, and only if you ask for it: Bluetooth, so the app can show Apple's standard Bluetooth MIDI pairing screen and connect a wireless pad controller. It is used for nothing else. No location is derived from it, and no scan results leave the device. Skip that step, or use a wired controller or the on-screen pads, and the permission is never requested. You can revoke it at any time in your device Settings.

PadCoach does not use the microphone, the camera, photos, contacts, or location services.

05Purchases

The one-time Lifetime Unlock is sold and processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. PadCoach receives only a yes or no answer about whether the unlock is active on your Apple Account. It never sees your name, your card number, or your billing address, and it keeps no purchase record of its own beyond that yes or no.

06Game Center, if you use it

PadCoach has no accounts of its own. Where the app offers an optional Game Center leaderboard, using it is entirely your choice and it is off unless you sign in to Game Center yourself. If you do, that service is operated by Apple: Apple is the data controller for your Game Center nickname, your player identifier, and any score you submit, and Apple's own privacy policy and Game Center terms govern that data. PadCoach hands a score to Apple's framework and receives nothing back about you or about other players beyond what Apple's own leaderboard screen displays.

Decline Game Center, or sign out of it, and every other part of the app behaves exactly the same. No lesson, feature, or purchase is gated behind it.

07Third parties

PadCoach contains no third-party analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs. The only outside code in the app is MIDIKit, an open-source MIDI library that runs entirely on-device and sends nothing anywhere. Apart from Apple's own StoreKit and Game Center services described above, the app makes no network requests of its own.

08Children

PadCoach is rated 4+ and contains no objectionable content, but it is not directed at children under 13 and no data is knowingly collected from them. Since nothing is collected from anyone, there is nothing about a child to store, share, or sell.

09Your choices and deletion

Deleting PadCoach removes all of its local data, including your progress, streak, and settings. There is no account to close and no server-side copy to request. Your Lifetime Unlock survives, because Apple holds that record against your Apple Account, and Restore purchases brings it back if you reinstall.

10Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
